Getting the Courage to Start Your Own Business

Posted By : Gary Simon Date Created : August 19th, 2013 Date Updated : May 29th, 2018

Bounce HouseTons of people say that they want to do something on a regular basis, but not many people do. How often have you heard people say that they are going to start a diet on New Year’s Day, or that they are going to start a business but never do. It’s easy to make promises to yourself, and to others, that you are going to change things in your life. Actually changing these things, however, is a completely different story. If you are interested in purchasing wholesale moonwalk’s to start your own rental business, but you are too scared to actually take the leap, we have a few things that you should think about.

For starters we want to know why you want to start your own inflatable jumper business. Are you sick of the place you’re working now? Have you always have a lot of kids? It doesn’t matter what your reasoning is for wanting to start a business as long as it is a good reason. Simply want to start your own small business because you think it would be fine is almost guaranteed to give you nothing but headaches. Wanting to start a small business, like renting moonwalks, because you want to earn more money for your family, or because you want to become your own boss, are great reasons as they will keep you interested in your business and fighting to make sure that it thrives.

Do you truly have what it takes to own a small business? There is nothing in the world quite like owning a small business. On one hand you have the freedom and the privilege of the able to do anything you want and being able to make all the decisions. On the other hand, all of the decisions are your responsibility to make and anything that you do can affect your business. This can be a great deal of stress so if you are not someone who handles stress well you may want to think twice before opening a bounce house rental business. Also, it is not necessarily a good idea to purchase wholesale moonwalks in order to start a bounce house rental business if you thoroughly hate children. Your biggest clientele in this industry is going to be children and well you don’t have to be a lover of all children, be able to tolerate and have fun with them is definitely a bonus in this business.

Getting New Clients while Making Current Clients Happy

Posted By : Gary Simon Date Created : July 2nd, 2013 Date Updated : May 29th, 2018

Bounce HousesIn the business world they say the getting new clients is extremely important, but that businesses live or die based not solely on new clients, but returning clients. But how does that work? Why is it so important that you get clients to return to your business and, how can you make sure that they do?

Current VS New

Ask anyone who has a Facebook business website about their site and they will explain that they get the most excited whenever they see a huge jump in new visitors to the site. On Facebook the more likes you get, the more your page gets noticed. Unfortunately, far too often, new business owners focus solely on getting new clientele and do not put any importance on making their current clients happy. New clientele is great, that is definitely true, but it is the returning clients that are not only going to net you more profit but that are also going to net you more clients.

Let’s say that Sally rents one of the wholesale bounce house units that you have available. Let’s also say that John does the same. If you focus your attention on Sally and on making sure she has a positive experience she will refer your name to her friends and you may wind up with five, or 10, new clients because of Sally. With John, however, you focus more on trying to get new clientele and, because of that, John feels as though he was ignored and refuses to spread your name about at all. Meanwhile Sally decides that she loves your business so much she not only spread your name around, she also rents your wholesale bounce house units again for her personal use and convinces her company to use your business for their family picnic as well.

Do you see why it is so important to make sure that you focus on your current clientele? Some business owners even set up an automatic email that goes out to previous clientele to wish them happy holidays or to tell them about new and special deals that they have to offer. Remember: your current and previous clientele are just as important as any new clientele that you may get.

Is Getting an Extended Warranty Worthwhile

Posted By : Gary Simon Date Created : June 30th, 2013 Date Updated : May 29th, 2018

Inflatable SlideWhenever you purchase a new vehicle, or an expensive piece of electronic equipment, you are almost always offered the opportunity to purchase an extended warranty. Many times the extended warranty is not worth purchasing. For instance, what is the point in purchasing an extended warranty on a vehicle when that warranty doesn’t cover many of the things that tends to break down during the warranty period? People tend to be very skeptical about extended warranties, but is it worthwhile to get an extended warranty for your inflatable water slide?

Before you can answer back question you need to know what the warranty is going to cover. For starters, do not expect the extended warranty to cover the blower’s and the accessories. These are often covered by a separate, standard warranty and are handled directly through the manufacturer of those pieces. What you are likely to find when it comes to inflatable extended warranties is that the warranty company will pay a certain percentage to replace your unit, and while the coverage starts at 100% it deteriorates over time. For instance, you may get an extended warranty that covers 100% of the cost of the unit for up to two years but, after those two years the coverage drops to 50 or 60%.

It is also important to note that most manufacturer extended warranties will replace the unit exactly or, if that exact unit is not available, will replace it with a similar product that is either of equal, or greater value. Most of the time it is necessary to purchase extended coverage within 30 days of the original date that you purchased the inflatable water slide, but you may be able to get coverage later on in the life of the unit with the right program, although you will likely have to pay a fairly steep fee to do so.

Is getting an extended warranty worthwhile? It really depends upon how long you plan on keeping the bounce house units that you have purchased. If you only plan on keeping the unit’s for three years or less then it may not make sense to purchase an extended warranty. If, however, you plan on keeping the unit for a much longer amount of time in purchasing an extended warranty made definitely be a good idea.

Thinking of Advertising in the Yellow Pages

Posted By : Gary Simon Date Created : June 23rd, 2013 Date Updated : May 29th, 2018

Bounce HouseRemember the days when you would want to find the phone number for business and your mother would yell you to simply look in the Yellow Pages? Those days are long gone. Now, if you want to find the phone number for a business the first place you are likely going to look is the Internet. Why, then, are bounce house rental business owners still thinking of advertising in the Yellow Pages? Is it a good idea, or should you completely avoid this advertising opportunity?

Yellow Page Advertising

In order to determine if advertising in the Yellow Pages is going to help you to rent out the commercial bounce houses for sale you purchased you first need to figure out how many people actually use the Yellow Pages. A recent survey completed about the Yellow Pages shows that 75% of those who completed the survey never use the Yellow Pages to help them to find information about a local business. 14% of the people surveyed said that they use the Yellow Pages once a year, but only a small 3% said they use the Yellow Pages five or more times a year in order to find information about local businesses.

Those are definitely not impressive numbers and, from an advertising standpoint, it is not a very smart idea to invest your money in the Yellow Pages. In doing so you are excluding 75% of potential customers. How, then, can you advertise the bounce house rental business that you own effectively?

Cyber Advertising

Cyber advertising is definitely where it is at. If you want to make sure that your investment actually gets you a return you will need to look to the cyber world for help. It is not likely that you will rent out the commercial bounce houses for sale that you have purchased unless you use the Internet to help you to do so. Word-of-mouth is no longer a reliable means for advertising – instead you need to spend your time, and your money, ensuring that your website is up to par and that it is as optimized as it can possibly be. There are plenty of professional businesses that get paid to do this type of work so if you are unsure what to do try contacting one of these professional businesses and they will be able to outline a strategy that will help you to make more money.

Avoiding Cookie Cutter Websites

Posted By : Gary Simon Date Created : June 7th, 2013 Date Updated : May 30th, 2018

Sea World JumperWhen you own a business there are many things that you need to think about, and one of the biggest things that you need to determine is how much money you are going to willing to spend on – from how much you spend on inflatable jumping castles to how much you spend on advertising. One big mistake that many new business owners make is in spending tons of money on purchasing their inflatable units while earmarking very little money for their website and online advertising.

What Is a Cookie Cutter Website?

If you’ve ever made cookies during the holiday season than you know exactly what the term cookie-cutter means. Basically, a cookie-cutter website is one that looks the same as all of the other websites. It is a website that is very difficult to distinguish from many different other websites, which, in the business world, means dying a slow death. But why would people use cookie-cutter designs anyway? One of the biggest reasons is because it is so affordable to do so. Getting a WordPress website can be absolutely free which, in most business owners minds, means more profit. Unfortunately, having a WordPress address does not look professional nor does it look unique.

What to Do

In order to truly in sure that your business gets the most attention possible it is important to make sure that your website looks at unique and that it is memorable. This doesn’t mean that you need to have tons of flash or video on the website, but it does mean that it needs to look professional, unique, and that it also needs to be easy to use. Show off the inflatable jumping castles that you have on the website, but make sure that you post real pictures and not just stock images so that your potential clientele can see exactly what your units look like. Is very likely that you do not have the skills necessary to be able to do this kind of work, and that is okay. That is what professionals are for. By spending a little bit of money to hire a professional website designer you will find that your sales go up much more than they would if you were to have used one of those un-unique, cookie-cutter websites.
