Adventure Double Drop Dry SlideWhen you have an inflatables business there is a lot to learn, and one of the things that you have to learn how to do is how to properly take care of all of the pieces of equipment that you have. While most inflatables don’t require a huge deal of care, taking care of inflatable slides, especially those that have water running down them, can be a bit tricky. This is because you can not pack up the inflatable slide if it has any water on it, as you will risk mold growing on your slide. Your inflatable slide manufacturer should have given you some information on how to clean your slides, but we’ll explain here, in detail, how to go about it.

Getting It Clean

Once the party is over you need to remove the water source from the unit and, if you happen to have a misting system, to detach that as well if possible. Now take the hose and hose down the entire unit again. Yes, this seems strange, as you’re trying to dry the unit, but with water on the slide it’s likely that you’ll have a great deal of grass clippings or dirt on the unit which you definitely don’t want to have there as you store it, as the inflatable slide manufacturer likely explained in their instructions. So first rinse down the whole thing and get rid of as much debris as you can.

Next open the zipper without turning off the blower. Make the entire unit as mushy and soft as you can. Use that softness to push down on the walls where the pool is held so that you can get rid of as much water as possible. Once you’ve done this you need to pull out any liner that your slide happens to have. This can be put into your trailer as it is. Now turn off the blower and fold or roll up your slide.

The important part comes the next day, when you need to dry the unit. Take it out and set it up. Take the time to hose it down again and then let it stay out to dry. You can speed up the process by using towels to get rid of any large puddles and to dry off the Velcro, but the unit should dry off in just an hour or two. Then just fold it up and you’ll find that the whole thing is clean and ready for your next customer!
