Sea World JumperSummer is definitely the most popular time for people to rent moonwalks from your business. During summer the weather is gorgeous, it’s much easier to be able to find solid, level ground, and it’s the perfect time to host a birthday party or any other type of event. When you’re starting to plan owning your own mama business there are a lot of things think about, the one thing that you may not think about is what to do if insects happen to get inside of your moonwalks.

Pesky Pests

During the summer it seems like it’s impossible to escape from insects, especially annoying ones like gnats or mosquitoes. All moonwalks are covered with the mesh netting around the open areas. This not only helps to keep insects out of the moonwalks, but also helps to keep guests who are enjoying the bounce house inside of it. While generally the mesh netting is tightly knit enough to keep larger insects out of the bounce house, smaller insects like gnats or mosquitoes may be able to get in. Larger insects can get into the bounce house if the doors held open for any length of time as well. But what do you do if insects happen to get inside of the inflatable? Generally children hate to jump around in something that has been infiltrated by bugs.

Unfortunately there aren’t a great deal of options you can pick from when it comes to getting bugs out of your moonwalks. Generally, it is safe to spray bug spray onto your moonwalks, but this is not something most business owners do. While the insect repellent is absolutely safe for fabric, it has a very annoying smell that is extremely hard to wash off, so you may not want to put any sort of bug spray on or around your moonwalks.

The best way to get rid of any insects inside of your moonwalks is to do so manually. When it comes to larger insects, you may want to climb inside of the moonwalks yourself, wait for the insects to land, and then simply kill it. For smaller insects you may simply want to climb into the moonwalk with a dust buster. This is likely one of the most efficient ways to get rid of small insects without having to spend hours jumping around inside the moonwalk killing each individual insect.
