Extra Large Fun House IIQuite frequently, people who start a bouncehouse business do so because they have children and have seen how many children’s birthday parties showcase these fun houses. Occasionally, however, a person who has no children tries to start their own bouncehouse business, and while that is absolutely possible, if you do not have children you may not be entirely aware of the risks that surround this type of entertainment.

Let me be perfectly clear – a bouncehouse can be a perfectly acceptable, fun, and safe way for children to find entertainment as long as the owner of the business understands all the safety measures they need to take in order to ensure that any child who goes on the bounce house is going to be safe. First, make it extremely clear to any of your customers that they are absolutely no shoes allowed on the bounce house. Quite often parents want their children to wear shoes because they believe their children will be safer with them, when, in fact, the opposite is true. A child who wears shoes in a bounce house is at risk of accidentally hitting another child with the soul of their shoe, which can cause serious injury. That is why it is vital that you make sure that all parents know there are absolutely no shoes allowed on the inflatable at any point in time. You may even want to purchase a large mat to put next to the inflatable where children can safely store their shoes as a gentle reminder.

Another thing you need to be aware of is making sure they are not too many children on the bouncehouse at any one point in time. Having five or six children on the bounce house should be absolutely fine, but when you start getting 10 to 12 children jumping around the same time accidents are bound to happen. Make sure the parents understand there only to be a certain amount of children on the bouncehouse at a time. It is also a good idea to stress that younger children jumping with younger children, and older children jumping with older children, tends to be one of the safest ways to enjoy this type of entertainment.

If you make sure that you understand all of the safety instructions that are given to you by the bouncehouse manufacturer, and you make doubly sure that the parents understand all the safety rules, the children should have a fun, and safe, time.
